Anna in Nice

The bus from the semi took us to Place Masséna where I met Anna. She had been in Côte D’Azur since Friday and now (Sunday) she was coming to visit me. We went back to my place to drop off our things and then went to old town for dinner!!! Surprise, surprise La Villa <3 we both had duck with fig sauce... and it was soooooo good!!!!!

The next day I showed Anna around the city...we walked around the old town, had lunch at Course Saleya, climbed up to Colline du Cháteau, had ice cream at 96 flavors and walked along Promenade des Anglais...we found this beautiful little shop that sold spices and stuff...so cute...Anna went crazy in there :)



For dinner: Sushi in old town...we went to the same place as me and Deina!!! I don’t know what happened to me but I started to feel a bit sick so I couldn’t finish the raw food in front of me.. :( what a waist... so after we went to buy a banana for me and I started to feel better...so it was time for Häagen Dazs!!!!! After looking at the meny for 15 minutes we decided to take the Chokolate fondue for 2 including 18 mini scoops of about 7 different flavours, fruits and brownies... It was heaven...we were literally high from all the sugar and we were giggling like two teenagers :) :)......half an hour later it wasn’t so funny anymore...we felt so sick and the walk home was terrible...we were both groaning the whole way home, unable to talk...but it was worth it...but never again :)

Next day was Anna’s last day in Nice...we made this amazing breakfast with bacon & eggs, fruits, berries, müsli, coffee, bread and American pancakes  After that we went to the beach...I had to go a little earlier since I had to get ready for school...Anna came back just when I had to leave for school so we had a short goodbye...and a few hours later I had a fever...time for rest!!!!

The semi weekend!!!

At Thursday evening me and Megan went to Lydia’s place, coz it’s the closest to school...we stayed in and waited.... we had to gather all the strength we possible could!!!! At about 3 am we took the taxi from Lydia’s place -> direction EDHEC!!! 3.30 am the bus arrived!!! We took the back row since we thought it was gonna be a biiig party at the bus...but....half an hour and on champagne bottle later the entire bus was asleep, so we decided to the same...

7 hours later we arrived at Perpignan (I think) me Lydia and Megan got a bungalow (bunglaaa :) ) to share!!! 2 buses arrived from Nice campus and 14 from Lille  aka over a 1000 people in total!!!!

The first event on the schedule was the food fight... We already heard it was gonna be totally messy so we put on our worst clothes and the T-shirt we got when we arrived!!! So we went to the beach totally sober with 2 eggs in one hand and a ketchup bottle in the other :) of course we got bored of waiting so we thought “let’s go finish a bottle of champagne and then come back”.... of course when we came back we’d missed the whole thing :( but we still got ammunition, so we just looked for Sebastian and started our own food fight... I can tell you that you could not tell that we missed the food fight afterwards...

The next event was the BULL cage thing! Totally crazy, I mean French people are out of their minds!!!!!!!!!!! Not kidding!!!!!!!! Since we were near the Spanish boarder, I guess do as the Spanish does :) so they had this cage and 3 bulls...And people went inside... The guy hosting this event let one bull out at a time..CRAZY!!!! People got hurt a lot, this one guy actually broke his nose.... and there were girls going in too... then the RED SUITS came... the biggest association at EDHEC.... this was their weekend to behave like total assholes and people actually let them (weird) so the red suits guys went in, and stood in front of the bull when it came running towards them (other people run away obviously) This whole bull thing was kind of entertaining, but I would NEVER do it myself!!! (btw my camera battery died here so I don’t have any more pictures yet)

Later we had a foam party...and it’s not the ones you have at High Light... the whole place was filled with foam which came from the roof..... party ended quickly though, since Megan stepped on glass and we had to take her to the emergency room...that kinda sucked... fortunately she didn’t need stitches!!!

At dinner time we found out just how much of assholes the red suits actually are!!! Everybody stood in line and then they came, and just walked straight through the whole line... I don’t understand why the French people just let them do this, and it became the discussion of the weekend...

We had a little pre party at our place before the big party...we played some rounds of “I’ve never...” and I drank a lot :) :) :) the party was outside with an open bar (naturally) good music and great company...later the party moved indoors...me and Megan actually went to bed quit early (2 am or something)

Next day...after breakfast we hit the beach...and went on a cruise on the banana boat, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!! There was a lot of money invested in this weekend, which meant a lot of things to do :) there was actually carting, which was quit sad but still...later there was a shot drinking competition...and afterwards this big event where you go stand on this platform and people outside started spraying alcohol on them... of course we missed this too since we got tired of waiting and went to drink some champagne...we back just when they had finished....later they showed this video from the day before, which I couldn’t really see since I’m so short..but they will post it on the internet so I’ll put it here for you to see it :) The party was indoors this time luckily, since I had been freezing for so long :) It was again a great party with open bar and lot of funny things happened...this night I didn’t go to bed so early...


The next day was the worst...7 hours in a bus on a perfect sunny day....not even on the French Riviera you can’t always get what you want.... When we came to Nice I went directly to pick up Anna... but more about that later....
